Ryu Han Su wins gold for Men's Greco-Roman Wrestling at Asian Games
South Korean wrestler Ryu Han Su has shown off his athletic prowess as he recently nabbed the gold medal for men's 67 kg Greco-Roman wrestling at the 2018 Jakarta Palembang Asian Games. After recent winning, Ryu says he's still focused on winning the gold medal in the upcoming 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Ryu recently won against Kazakhstan's Almat Kebispayev with a score of 5-4. Both players earned four points during period one. However, Ryu charged on with a stronger on the second period which ended in a take down where Ryu earned a point and sealed his win.
Ryu's track record
Ryu's recent acquisition of the gold medal is his second consecutive win in the Asian Games. He also previously championed in men's 66kg Greco-Roman wrestling 2014 Asian Games that was held in Incheon, South Korea.
Apart from his achievements in the Asian Games Ryu holds an impressive track record among wrestlers in South Korea.
He's most notable for winning the 2013 World Championship with fellow wrestler Kim Hyeon Woo. He also won in 2015 Asian Wrestling Championship in Doha, Qatar.

Ryu still aiming for the Olympic gold
In 2016, Ryu was one of the top contenders to win the gold at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. However, despite his efforts, Ryu wasn't able to win any medal and had to come home with disappointment and frustration.
With his recent win, Ryu said that he's still eyeing for the gold in the upcoming Olympics. "I would spend my time in the mountains as if I'm there to gain spiritual enlightenment, to chase my dream of winning an Olympic gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics," he said in an interview.
